Hi There...
My name is Keith Blount and I am the Academically and Intellectually Gifted Teacher for Forest Pines Drive Elementary School. My family has lived in Rolesville for several years and we love the area! My wife, Tamika, is a second grade teacher at Abbotts Creek Elementary. I enjoy learning new and interesting things, anything dealing with Cleveland sports (GO BROWNS!, GO CAVS!, GO INDIANS!, GO OHIO STATE!), trying new and different cuisine, and spending time with my family.
I graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in elementary education. I taught third grade for 10 years before becoming an Academically Gifted teacher.
I am so excited to be the Academically Gifted Teacher at Forest Pines! It has been a wonderful experience to develop the critical thinking and 21st Century skills for all students at Forest Pines. Building confident, motivated learners is a passion for me. Whether it is gaining new information or viewing something in a different way, every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate new experiences. I enjoy seeing the growth as they are challenged to work to their highest potential.
I have always been passionate about impacting the future generation through teaching. I recently read that today’s students are the messengers to a future that I will never see. As I continue to work with the students, teachers, and families of Forest Pines, I hope to continue to interest, inspire, and challenge all of us to send a better message to the future!
